I have worked as a computer programmer since 1987 and have painted in my spare time. I am now retired and can spend more time painting. I studied Fine Art at Newcastle University from 1968 to 1972 and wrote my dissertation on the Douanier Rousseau. I have always liked naive and primitive art such as Rene Rimbert, Camille Bombois and Fernando Botero. My large paintings take me a long time to finish because there is so much detail. I live in Oxford by the River Thames and have always been interested in observing the water, plants and animals I see as I take my two dogs for their morning walk. I have taken part in Oxford Arts Weeks in the past and have exhibited at The Apollo Theatre Oxford, the Theatre Chipping Norton, and The West Oxfordshire art gallery in Bampton.
