Claire Garcka Back

Claire discovered that she loved painting at an evening class in 2009. Her painting style was inspired by the work of Alfred Wallis. She enjoys using bold outlines and blocks of colour. Her subject matter usually comes from places she’s visited, happy memories of holidays and days out.
She loves colour and experimenting with it and enjoys exaggerating the colours she sees in a scene. She loves the beach and the sea and is often inspired by quirky fishing boats and picturesque harbours.
Claire paints and exhibits at “Four at the Shore” a beach hut studio and gallery in Worthing. Her work features in Art on the Pier. She is a committee member with West Sussex Art Society and takes part in Worthing Artists Open Houses. She was a Prize Winner at Worthing Open 2013.
