I have painted most of my life and am mainly self-taught.

I am fortunate to live near the sea in St Columb Major, Cornwall where I share a house and studio with my partner, artist Tom Henderson Smith. I am inspired by the glorious countryside that surrounds me and also by the landscape of my imagination. Dreams, fairytales and poems I have loved are also a rich source of inspiration for me. I see myself as a story-teller living in interconnecting worlds. Sometimes I allow randomly applied oil paint to dictate the subject matter. What emerges on the canvas often surprises me.

I show regularly with ABNA, The St. Ives Society of Artists and at locations further afield.
