Hi I’m Linda Craig and I started my art training in Hertfordshire at Ware and Watford Colleges. Originally a Ceramicist and printmaker I became a Fellow of the Digswell Arts Trust in 2000 where I had my first studio practice. In 2003 I became artist in residence at Pishiobury Park in Hertfordshire giving talks and workshops where I produced a site specific Slab Built Ceramic Sculpture for the park depicting it’s history. I relocated to beautiful Cornwall in 2005 where I worked slip casting for Lamorna Pottery ,took part in Cornwall Open Studios and became a member of The Cowhouse Gallery in Perranuthnoe where I am to this day. Giving up Ceramics sadly due to arthritis has given me a new lease of life producing paintings which I really love. My favourite subjects are little harbours here in West Penwith and the beautiful moor and woodlands. The ruins of Cornwall’s mining heritage provide interesting features so too the ancient stone circles and quoits Primarily for me it is the quality of the light down here in Cornwall to which many artists before me have been drawn making all subjects sing with bright beautiful colours
