My love of painting has been with me all my life. When my daughter Daisy was born it naturally became more prominent in my life. Gradually with her starting school I started painting a lot more and developing my style. The majority of my naive work is painted in acrylic on board and i am fortunate to have a studio at Maker Heights which houses many of the “Rame School of Artists” in the south east of Cornwall which is often referred to as Cornwall’s forgotten corner ! Living and working in this beautiful area has played an important role in the inspirations behind much of my work.
As well as my naive work i also enjoy working in oils and various mediums, recently working with the plastics washed up on our shore line as part of the Rame Beach Care project. Through this i was fortunate enough to be asked to make a trophy which was presented in London to the Scottish fisheries at the Ocean Awards ceremony.
