I am a self-taught paper-cut artist specialising in full-colour, joyful landscapes inspired by childhood holidays and trips to the British coast and countryside. I love to recreate happy feelings of nostalgia in my work and you will often see caravans, sail boats, rolling hills and cliff top views – things that remind me of that feeling of awe and excitement at seeing something simple yet beautiful.
My pieces start with an initial sketch, which is cut from a single piece of paper or card using just a swivel-headed craft knife. I then secure colours to the reverse of the outline, layering or cutting into them to create dimension and movement.
I live on the Kent coast with my partner, two daughters and two cats.
