About

Roger was born in Kent in 1945 and studied at Crayford School for Gentlefolk. He chose the landscape of West Penwith as his home and has lived there most of his life. Apart from a brief spell in the City he has been self employed in horticulture in Cornwall.

He has a long association with traditional working craft as an owner, and involved in the Sea and Sail element of the local Golowan Festival since it’s inception in 1991.

He is also known for his contributions to the nationally acclaimed Peninsula Voice, an alternative magazine that focused on local issues.

For many years he was Chairman of Penzance Harbour Users Association.

His life in horticulture has provided him with an eye for the energies at work in the landscape.

He has no training in painting.
